British MPs' expenses scandal spreads to New Zealand

I've just been interviewed live on Radio New Zealand's excellent Morning Report breakfast show about the latest revelations in the British MPs' expenses scandal, and the growing pressure on Chancellor Alistair Darling who may well lose his job in the next few days.

Geoff Robinson's questions to me though were preceded by a segment on New Zealand's Green Party which, in the wake of what has happened in the UK, is promising to reveal the details of all expense claims made by its MPs, and is challenging the country's larger parties to do the same.

So Britain's MPs' expenses scandal, then, looks set to spread to the other side of the world. MPs everywhere must be quaking in their boots.
